The path

Six stations, one line.

Each level mirrors its Goethe exam: vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading, writing, speaking and two full mock exams. Pick a station to see what it takes.

Line A1–C2

    Method

Every screen trains what the exam asks.

No streak confetti and no endless menus. Seven tools, each built around a part of the exam.

    Satzbau

    See the word order

Every sentence becomes a diagram: position 1, the verb in position 2, and the verb end that closes the bracket. Move a part to the front and watch the verb stay put while the subject steps behind it. Then build sentences yourself.

    Articles-first vocabulary

Every noun comes with der, die or das in its colour and its plural. Spaced repetition brings each word back until the article is automatic.

    Grammar drills

A short note, then a drill: gaps, word order, cases. Mistakes show the right form straight away, with the reason.

    All four exam skills

Listening, reading, writing and speaking in the exam's own formats, from station announcements to formal emails, plus two mock exams per level.

    AI writing examiner

Write the exam task, get a mark against the three required points, corrections with short reasons and a clean corrected version. Daily checks depend on your plan.

    Speaking examiner

Do the Goethe-style speaking tasks out loud. The examiner reads the task, plays your partner and marks each answer against the exam points, showing what it heard as evidence. Scores are estimates; pronunciation is not marked.

    Mistake notebook

A mistake notebook. Missed cards already come back sooner, and word-order mistakes collect for a focused drill; soon every wrong answer will join them.

    FAQ

    Questions before you board.

Is this the official Goethe exam course?

No. Fahrplan Deutsch is independent and not affiliated with the Goethe-Institut. The lessons and mock exams follow the published structure of the Goethe exams (Start Deutsch 1 and Goethe-Zertifikat A2 to C2), so you practise the real formats.

Which levels can I study for free?

All of A1, including both A1 mock exams. Learner opens A2 and B1; Exam opens every level up to C2. A school seat opens the level of your class.

How long does each level take?

The Goethe-Institut's guidance ranges from about 80–200 hours for A1 to over 1,000 hours for C2, counted from zero. The readiness projection uses your own pace once you start.

    Does it work without internet?

Yes. Install it on your phone or computer and the A1 course, including audio, works offline. Progress syncs when you are back online. Paid levels, checkout and AI writing checks need a connection.

    Is the audio real German?

The recordings use natural neural German voices for both speakers in dialogues, not robotic browser speech. Browser speech is only a fallback for lines without a recording yet.

How does the AI writing examiner mark my text?

It checks your text against the task's required points and the greeting, like the exam's marking criteria, then lists corrections with short explanations. Treat it as a practice mark, not an official score.

How do schools and classes work?

A school owner buys seats and invites teachers. Teachers create classes by level, share a join code, set homework and see progress. Students use their own login.

    How do I cancel?

From Account → Plan at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and your progress stays in your account.

    Your first train leaves today.

A1 is free. No card needed. Your progress is saved as soon as you sign up.
